The Projectionist was a prisoner at Shawshank State Penitentiary in 1949.
Character Biography[]
He was working in the projector room playing Gilda when Bogs Diamond and the other Sisters drag Andy Dufresne into the room to rape him. They tell the projectionist to get out, but he insists that he must change the reels. Bogs, however, intimidates him to leaving the room.
Trivia[]
- In the television edit, Bogs' intimidating threat of "fuck off!" had to be removed. So, in a funny bit of trivia, it appeared as if the projectionist protested that he had to change the reels and then left immediately afterwards anyway.
